KORE Wellness uses joint mobility as a way to increase range of motion, in a mobile way that allows the body to be in constant movement. Mobility is defined as the degree of freedom of a movement around a joint or body segment.   Simply having good muscular flexibility does not necessarily mean that  you have good mobility in your joints and the ability to move freely and efficiently in your hips, shoulders, spine and other joints. The exercises below are highly productive for increasing joint mobility with  simple movements; these are not static flexibility exercises where you hold a stretch; these exercises are non-stop dynamic movements.   They are designed to increase range of motion in a joint to enable you to move efficiently and without pain. Below are some tips for you to pay attention to when doing joint mobility exercises.

-       Do not force or deviate from the exercises to increase range of motion.

-       Do the exercises to a reasonable comfort level in a continuous fluid motion at a slow to moderate pace.

-       Do these exercises daily to increase your health, and enhance your range of movement.

Some simple neck mobility exercises include:
- Moving your head up and down by looking up  to the ceiling and then down to the floor.
- Rotating your head left to right by looking over your left shoulder and then looking over your right shoulder.
- Laterally bending your neck by trying to touch your right ear to your right shoulder, then trying to touch your left ear to your left shoulder.
- Sliding your head back and forth by keeping your chin level and sticking your head out, then pulling it back.

Try these exercises for at least ten repetitions throughout your day, use a mirror at first if you need some guidance as to what you are actually doing vs what you think you are doing.  Don't be too concerned with the sounds you hear your neck making (as long as it isn't painful) afterall, when is the last time you moved your neck like this?  You will find that these neck mobility exercises not only increase your range of motion and reduce stiffness, but make your neck feel better as well!

Kettlebells require some technique to use in order to ensure that you are doing the exercises in a manner that is safe. KORE Wellness strongly recommends some beginner training before you attempt to use a kettlebell on your own. If you cannot make one of the KORE Wellness Workshops, Classes, or a personal training session, we recommend that you find another RKC Certified Kettlebell instuctor to teach you the basics. You can find a kettlebell instructor in your area by going to Dragondoor.com
